The Indian Navy’s recruitment drive for civilian posts includes a wide variety of positions across technical, medical, administrative, and support services. The age criteria vary by post, generally ranging from 18 to 45 years, with specific limits set according to the nature and level of each role. 

Educational Qualifications

  • Staff Nurse: Matriculation with nursing training certificate and registration as a trained nurse.
  • Chargeman: Diploma or degree in relevant engineering or science fields such as Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Electronics, Civil Engineering, or equivalent, with relevant experience or military service for some posts.
  • Assistant Artist Retoucher: Matriculation plus diploma/certificate in commercial art or printing technology, with experience as a retoucher. 
  • Pharmacist: 12th pass with Science subjects, Diploma in Pharmacy, registered under Pharmacy Act, with relevant experience.
  • Cameraman: Matriculation plus diploma/certificate in printing technology and experience operating cameras.
  • Store Superintendent: Degree in Science or 10+2 with experience in stores work.
  • Fire Engine Driver & Fireman: 12th pass with heavy vehicle license for drivers; physical fitness and endurance tests required.
  • Storekeeper: 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized Board or equivalent, with one-year experience in inventory related stores work in government department or Public undertaking or in a reputed firm

Indian Navy Civilian Selection Process 2025
